SAM Specialist with ServiceNow SAM Pro (f/m/x)

We are looking for an experienced Software Asset Management Specialist familiar with ServiceNow SAM Pro. In this remote role, you will leverage your expertise in ServiceNow SAM Pro and open-source software to optimize software licensing and deployment processes. You will work with a team of professionals to assess software security and manage software assets effectively. Your tasks

• Managing software asset management processes using ServiceNow SAM Pro to ensure compliance and optimize licensing costs
• Evaluating and comparing software solutions based on open-source licenses such as MIT, Apache 2.0, GPL, and LGPL
• Conducting software security assessments and maintaining familiarity with vulnerability databases
• Implementing software deployment and endpoint management tools to enhance operational efficiency
• Analyzing software licensing models to ensure effective use of freeware and open-source software
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address software vulnerabilities and cybersecurity concerns
• Providing insights and recommendations based on strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Documenting processes and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of software asset management best practices
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software asset management, specifically with ServiceNow SAM Pro
• Deep knowledge of freeware and open-source software, including licensing models
• Familiarity with open-source licenses such as MIT, Apache 2.0, GPL, and LGPL
• Practical experience with software deployment and endpoint management tools
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and software vulnerabilities
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate software solutions objectively
• Ability to communicate effectively in English in an international environment
