Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP Architect to design, secure, and govern our enterprise cloud extension and integration strategies. The ideal candidate will orchestrate multi-tenant BTP global accounts, define cloud extension architecture patterns (side-by-side extensions), and establish standard developer frameworks across the enterprise to support digital transformation initiatives without modifying the digital core.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and govern SAP BTP enterprise architectures, defining global account provisioning strategies, subaccount topographies, directory structures, and entitlement management.
  • Architect side-by-side extension blueprints using SAP BTP Extension Suite and Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) to develop decoupled custom applications that integrate seamlessly with S/4HANA.
  • Establish secure identity and access frameworks, configuring Single Sign-On (SSO) loops, SAP Cloud Identity Services (IAS/IPS), SAML 2.0/OAuth 2.0 bindings, and Principal Propagation parameters.
  • Lead runtime and infrastructure selections, determining optimal application hosting profiles across Cloud Foundry, Kyma (Kubernetes), or serverless execution models based on workload requirements.
  • Define API governance protocols, configuring API gateways, rate-limiting rules, security routing, and lifecycle monitoring policies within SAP BTP.
  • Deploy automated DevOps delivery paths, configuring automated scaling rules, transport configurations using SAP Cloud Transport Management Service (cTMS), and continuous deployment pipelines.
  • Audit platform operations and service utilization configurations, monitoring resource consumption tracking matrices, cost parameters, and execution telemetry to optimize total platform spend.



Requirements

  • 6 to 10 years of enterprise software architecture or cloud engineering experience, with 3+ dedicated years designing, building, and governance structures directly on SAP BTP.
  • Strong technical mastery of CAP/RAP design frameworks, multi-tenant environment configurations, secure API authentication loops, and microservices design.
  • Deep structural understanding of cloud security paradigms, database scaling principles, network topology definitions, and clean-core system optimization tactics.
  • Mandatory certification: SAP Certified Enterprise Architect OR active SAP Associate certification in Integration/Extension Suite.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior hyperscaler engineering experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP architectural configurations) interacting directly with SAP cloud runtimes.
  • Experience implementing machine learning automation pipelines or data engineering layers using SAP BTP AI Core modules.
