SAP Data Migration Expert

Purpose of the job

Lead and secure the complete data migration lifecycle to SAP S/4HANA for our customer, from source analysis and cleansing through conversion, loading, reconciliation and final sign-off. The role ensures quality, integrity, traceability, security and compliance of migrated data while coordinating business teams, SAP functional and technical teams, and system-integrator partners to support a controlled go-live and business continuity.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, information management or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in data / data migration, including substantial hands-on experience in enterprise migration programs.
• At least 3 years in a Data Migration Lead, Workstream Owner, coordinator or Data Migration Architect capacity.
• Minimum 2 full-lifecycle SAP implementations or migrations, from preparation through cutover and post-go-live hypercare.Expertise in SAP S/4HANA data migration and deep understanding of the SAP data model across FI/CO, SD, MM and PP; PM knowledge is useful.
• Hands-on mastery of SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM) and enterprise ETL / staging platforms.
• Strong SQL, relational database and data profiling / data quality skills; HANA environment.
• Experience with CVI / Business Partner transition and financial ledger data conversions
• Design of reconciliation controls, upload exception management and coordination of SAP configuration prerequisites.
• Project delivery and Data governance; ability to structure KPIs, RAID logs, cutover and auditable sign-offs
• Working knowledge of SAP Transport Management, SAP Solution Manager and SAP Cloud ALM.
• Understanding of data security, access management and GDPR compliance requirements
• Clear communication with technical, functional, business and non-technical stakeholders
• Rigor and leadership
• Critical thinking, analysis and resolution of data-related incidents.
• Professional fluency in English, written and spoken; operational French for day-to-day working interactions

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end data migration workstream and facilitate Data & Migration governance with Data Owners, BPOs, Key Users, SAP technical and functional leads, SAP consultants and developers.
• Drive data profiling, cleansing, deduplication, purging and harmonization.
• Define and obtain validation of field-level mappings, transformation rules, default values and dependencies between S/4HANA objects.
• Plan and conduct mock migrations / dry runs; supervise extraction, staging, enrichment, transformation and loading. Implement pre- and post-load controls, manage exceptions, and reconcile data volumes, hash totals and financial balances
• Build the migration strategy, playbooks, sequences and real-time cutover runbooks.
• Coordinate freeze periods, resources, checkpoints, the critical path, Go/No-Go criteria and hypercare exit
• Maintain the Data workstream RAID log, identify bottlenecks and critical issues, coordinate corrective actions, and test rollback / fallback strategies with technical teams to preserve service continuity
• Ensure the integrity, reliability, availability and traceability of migrated data; apply security, confidentiality, access and compliance requirements, including GDPR, in coordination with the relevant functions.
