SAP Data Migration Lead

We are currently looking for an SAP Data Migration Lead with previous manufacturing experience to join a project with a global end client of ours.

Start date: July 2026

Duration: 12-month initial contract with possible extensions

Location: Remote with twice per year travel to China (all expenses covered)

Languages: English speaking

Role/Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute the SAP and MES data migration strategy.
• Lead data migration activities across SAP and MES workstreams.
• Document SAP and MES data models in collaboration with functional teams.
• Define the scope, approach, and strategy for all data migration objects.
• Design and manage data migration processes and environments for the global template.
• Lead and coordinate a team of Data Migration Specialists.
• Work closely with business and functional teams to deliver migration activities.
• Monitor data quality, integrity, and migration readiness throughout the project lifecycle.
• Plan, manage, and oversee data migration test cycles in line with ERP deployment plans.
• Develop and maintain data migration test scripts and documentation.
• Coordinate and support the execution of migration testing activities.
• Provide regular status updates and progress reports to project stakeholders.
• Utilise SAP data migration tools, including LSMW, BODS, BOM, and Migration Cockpit.
