Data Migration Lead (SAP S/4HANA)

Our client is looking for a hands-on Data Migration Lead & a Data Migration Consultant to join a large-scale greenfield SAP S/4HANA transformation.

Contract: Freelance

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 2 years

Working Hrs: Mainly CET with occasional meetings in CST, for which we would expect some flexibility

Location: Remote (Please note we are open to all locations but prioritising candidates within the EU)

The programme is currently in the pre-project phase and will support the rollout across four manufacturing sites in Asia over a multi-year roadmap.

Reporting to the Data Migration Manager, you will lead a small team of Data Migration Specialists whilst remaining actively involved in the delivery of migration activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the SAP data migration strategy for the programme.
• Lead data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and loading activities.
• Manage migration testing, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
• Work closely with business, functional, and technical teams to ensure data readiness.
• Oversee migration deliverables and provide regular project status updates.
• Support the successful deployment of SAP S/4HANA across multiple manufacturing locations.
  
  

Experience Required

• 7+ years' experience leading data migration workstreams within ERP programmes.
• Proven track record of delivering multiple end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations, from project initiation and design through to deployment, cutover and hypercare.
• Experience moving from legacy or non-SAP systems to SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of SAP migration tools, ETL processes, data quality, and governance.
• Previous experience leading small teams and coordinating global stakeholders.
