Overview

TSGi is seeking a SAP Design Funcitonal Lead to support a large-scale federal travel and expense modernization initiative serving civilian government agencies. In this role, you will lead the functional and data design for secure agency-level financial reporting, defining reporting requirements, data structures, security rules, reconciliation criteria, and acceptance measures while maintaining the existing enterprise reporting baseline.

Candidates local to Herndon, VA are preferred and will be expected to work onsite four (4) days per week. Fully remote candidates will also be considered; however, West Coast candidates will not be considered.

Per our Federal government contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead functional and data design for agency-level financial reporting.
  • Define reporting requirements, organizational hierarchies, and data-segregation rules.
  • Develop and implement row-level security and role-based access requirements.
  • Analyze financial data and define data structures and reporting requirements.
  • Translate business reporting needs into functional and technical requirements.
  • Perform source-to-report reconciliation and identify data discrepancies.
  • Develop test cases, acceptance criteria, and validation measures for reporting solutions.
  • Support cloud-based data and BI/reporting platforms.
  • Ensure reporting designs preserve the existing enterprise reporting baseline.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to support secure, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in reporting, analytics, data security, or functional data design.
  • Experience defining row-level security, role-based access, and organizational data segregation.
  • Strong SQL and data-analysis skills.
  • Experience with cloud data and BI/reporting platforms.
  • Experience performing source-to-report reconciliation and defining test cases.
  • Ability to translate business reporting needs into functional and technical requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Snowflake and federal financial-data experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Rational ClearQuest, Rational ClearCase, and CMMI Level 3 preferred.
