SAP Finance – FP&A / Financial Planning Functional Consultant
Summary
We are seeking an experienced professional to serve as a Functional Consultant specializing in the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) domain within the IT Services sector. This pivotal role involves leveraging deep expertise in SAP finance modules to drive strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical solutions, ensuring that complex financial requirements are accurately translated into robust system configurations and workflows. This position is critical for enhancing organizational financial agility, optimizing planning processes, and delivering data-driven insights that support executive decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of SAP financial solutions with a specific focus on General Ledger, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, and Fixed Assets management.
- Design and facilitate driver-based planning models to align financial forecasts with operational realities and strategic business goals.
- Conduct comprehensive requirement gathering sessions with key stakeholders to define functional specifications and business rules for FP&A workflows.
- Develop and document detailed functional specifications that guide development teams in configuring the SAP environment to meet precise financial planning needs.
- Manage and optimize planning workflows, ensuring seamless integration across various financial modules to support accurate P&L planning and reporting.
- Analyze existing financial processes to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices for budgeting and forecasting within the SAP ecosystem.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate business rules and ensure the integrity of financial data throughout the planning lifecycle.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP Finance, specifically within the FP&A and financial planning functional areas.
- Proven expertise in configuring and managing SAP GL, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Fixed Assets modules.
- Strong proficiency in designing driver-based planning models and executing complex budgeting and forecasting scenarios.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct requirement gathering workshops and translate business needs into precise functional specifications.
- In-depth knowledge of financial planning workflows, business rules, and P&L planning structures within the SAP environment.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
