Position Overview

BlueOval Battery Park Michigan (BOBM) is a state-of-the-art Ford facility helping power the next generation of electric vehicles. As the SAP L1 Production Support Specialist, you will own the end-to-end coordination of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud initiatives across BOBM’s business functions.

You will bring structure, visibility, and rapid issue resolution to a fast-moving, multi-workstream environment spanning Finance, MDM, Purchasing, HR, Supply Chain Collaboration, Warehouse, ASN, and Banking. Key Responsibilities

L1 Production Support & Incident Management

• Primary Support Contact: Serve as the first point of contact for BOBM IT L1 support activities across the SAP S/4HANA production environment.
• Workflow Ownership: Own end-to-end support workflows within JIRA, ServiceNow, and SAP Cloud ALM (CALM). Manage ticket queues, prioritize by business impact/severity, enforce SLA compliance, and seamlessly escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams with clear root-cause context.
• Metrics & Dashboards: Build and maintain incident/performance dashboards and scorecards to track operational trends, surface recurring issues, and communicate key support metrics to stakeholders.

Finance & Integration Support

• Financial Operations: Assist the BOBM Finance team with month-end close activities, intercompany transactions, banking, accounting, treasury, Wall Street, BlackLine, MICS, Vertex, and Monex processes.
• System Integrations: Support SAP integration efforts across Master Data Management (MDM), purchasing/supplier interfaces, API/middleware connections, and Advance Shipping Notice (ASN) processes.
• Access Governance: Support SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Identity & Access Governance initiatives, including end-to-end user lifecycle management (provisioning, deprovisioning, and access modifications).

Training & Enablement

• User Support: Coordinate BOBM SAP training, job aid availability, certification tracking, and session scheduling across all workstreams.
• Readiness Tracking: Build and manage user readiness reporting (dashboards/scorecards) to measure certification completion rates and training effectiveness.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required Skills

• Core Systems: SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud ALM (CALM), Jira, ServiceNow.
• Integrations & Tech: APIs, Middleware, Java.
• Processes: Change Management, Incident Management, Master Data Management (MDM).

Required Experience

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP ERP (S/4HANA) combined with 10+ years leading end-to-end IT project management (planning, executing, and delivering complex technology projects).
• Cloud Background: Successful completion of at least one full-lifecycle implementation of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
• Production Support: Proven track record in L1/production support, incident management, and ticketing workflows via CALM, ServiceNow, and JIRA.
• Reporting & Visibility: Demonstrated capability to design, build, and maintain operational dashboards and KPI scorecards.
• Functional & Technical Depth: Hands-on proficiency across accounting, treasury, banking, MDM, purchasing/supplier integrations, APIs, and ASN workflows.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to handle tight deadlines across concurrent workstreams.

Education & Work Setup

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field).
• Work Location Schedule: 3 days on-site per week at the BlueOval Battery Park Michigan facility.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• Certifications: SAP Activate methodology, Project Management Certification (PMP), or SAP Module Certifications (Security, GRC, FICO, S/4HANA).
• Frameworks: Strong familiarity with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management frameworks.
• Domain Experience: Background or familiarity with automotive or battery manufacturing operational environments.
• Specialized Knowledge: Direct exposure to BOBM workstreams and extended SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud features.
