SAP PP / QM Functional Consultant – S/4HANA Manufacturing & Quality Deployment

Project context

We are looking for a senior SAP PP / QM consultant to support a SAP S/4HANA deployment project across industrial manufacturing sites. The consultant will work on production planning, production execution, quality management and integration with MES / APS / local production systems.

Main responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible for analyzing, designing and deploying SAP production and quality processes based on the existing Core Model, while taking into account complex local manufacturing constraints.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead Fit/Gap workshops for production planning, manufacturing execution and quality processes.
• Analyze current production and quality processes and compare them with the SAP Core Model.
• Identify functional, organizational and process gaps.
• Propose SAP standard solutions and avoid unnecessary specific developments.
• Configure SAP PP and QM processes in S/4HANA.
• Cover production master data: BOM, routing, work centers, production versions and planning parameters.
• Support planning flows, MRP, production orders, confirmations and goods movements.
• Support quality processes: inspection lots, quality controls, releases, certificates and quality status.
• Work on integration between PP, QM, MM, WM, SD and Finance.
• Contribute to interface design with MES, APS, QIS, shopfloor systems and reporting tools.
• Support data migration for production and quality master data.
• Prepare test scenarios, execute integration testing and support UAT.
• Support training, cutover, go-live and hypercare.
• Help business teams adopt harmonized Group processes.

Required experience

• Minimum 6 to 10 years of SAP PP / QM functional experience.
• Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA manufacturing projects.
• Good understanding of industrial production environments.
• Strong knowledge of PP master data, MRP, production orders, confirmations and stock movements.
• Strong knowledge of QM processes: quality planning, inspection, results recording, usage decision, certificates and quality integration.
• Experience with complex manufacturing flows, ideally continuous production, transformation, cutting, packaging or process industry.
• Ability to run Fit/Gap workshops and produce clear functional documentation.
• Experience with testing, data migration, cutover and go-live support.

Nice to have

• Experience with MES and APS integration.
• Knowledge of production scheduling, trim optimization, shopfloor reporting or machine data collection.
• Experience with tools such as QIS, Greycon, Wonderware / AVEVA, or similar industrial systems.
• Experience in paper, packaging, medical devices, pharma, chemical or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of SAP PP-PI would be a plus if process manufacturing is involved.

Soft skills

• Senior functional consultant with strong business-process understanding.
• Able to translate complex industrial needs into SAP standard processes.
• Good communication with production, quality, supply chain and IT teams.
• Able to work under client governance and in a multi-integrator environment.
• Fluent English required; French is a strong plus.
