Note: Client is looking for Australian citizen/PR Holder, can work remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of SAP S/4HANA implementation, conversion, migration, rollout, or transformation projects.
- Establish and manage the overall project plan, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, resource requirements, and critical path.
- Manage projects using SAP Activate methodology, covering Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Run phases.
- Coordinate functional workstreams such as Finance, Procurement, Sales, Manufacturing, Asset Management, and other applicable S/4HANA modules.
- Coordinate technical workstreams including ABAP, Fiori, BTP, integrations, security, data migration, testing, infrastructure, and cutover.
- Manage scope, schedule, effort, budget, resource utilization, and project profitability.
- Establish project governance including SteerCo meetings, PMO reviews, status reporting, RAID management, and escalation processes.
- Maintain and actively manage project risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and decisions.
- Manage customer stakeholders including business leadership, IT leadership, process owners, key users, and external vendors.
- Drive requirements/design workshops and ensure timely completion and sign-off of project deliverables.
- Coordinate system integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, performance testing, and defect resolution.
- Lead data migration planning, mock conversions, reconciliation, and production migration readiness.
- Develop and manage the overall cutover plan, go-live readiness assessment, command-centre activities, and hypercare.
- Manage change requests and assess their impact on scope, schedule, resources, and commercial commitments.
- Ensure compliance with agreed project quality standards, documentation requirements, and delivery methodology.
- Work closely with Solution Architects and functional/technical leads to ensure design decisions are aligned with the overall solution architecture.
- Manage third-party vendors and integration partners where applicable.
- Drive project recovery and corrective-action plans where schedule, quality, or delivery risks arise.
- Provide clear executive-level project reporting and proactively escalate matters requiring management intervention.
- Support transition from project delivery to AMS/support teams following go-live and stabilization.
Required Experience
- Typically 8–12+ years of SAP experience, including substantial experience managing SAP implementation projects.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager for at least one or more end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations or transformations.
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA implementation lifecycle and SAP Activate methodology.
- Experience managing medium-to-large, multi-workstream SAP transformation programs.
- Good understanding of SAP functional, technical, integration, data migration, testing, security, and cutover activities.
- Experience working with both business and IT stakeholders at senior management level.
- Strong project financial management, resource planning, and commercial awareness.
- Experience managing offshore/onshore delivery teams and multiple vendors.
- Strong knowledge of project governance, RAID management, dependency management, and change control.
- Experience managing go-live, hypercare, and transition to support.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition / RISE with SAP and/or S/4HANA on-premise implementations.
- Experience with SAP BTP, Integration Suite, Fiori, SAP Analytics Cloud, or other SAP cloud solutions.
- Experience managing ECC-to-S/4HANA transformation or migration programs.
- Experience with greenfield, brownfield, or selective data transition approaches.
- SAP Activate, PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is advantageous.
- Experience working in large enterprise or regional/global SAP programs is preferred.
