SAP PS Solution Architect

SAP S/4HANA PS with EAM SOLUTION ARCHITECT WITH EPC INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE//Edmonton Canada/Remote/Travel

The SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect will provide end-to-end solution architecture leadership for the SAP S/4HANA rollout, while taking significant hands-on ownership of the SAP Project Systems (PS) & SAP Enterprise Asset management (EAM) solution.

The architect must have broad cross-functional expertise spanning SAP Supply Chain, Logistics, Quality Management, and Finance.

The role will be responsible for assessing the existing Global Template, determining its applicability to the Canadian entity, defining the end-to-end To-Be solution, and ensuring that local requirements are addressed without unnecessary deviation from the Global Template.

A key responsibility of this role is to lead and perform the heavy lifting for SAP Project Systems design and configuration, including project structures, WBS, networks, planning, budgeting, availability control, project costing, procurement integration, settlement, project accounting, and integration with Finance, Procurement, Inventory, Sales, Asset Management, and other business processes.

The ideal candidate will combine enterprise-level S/4HANA Solution Architecture capability with deep hands-on SAP PS & EAM expertise and should be comfortable moving between architecture discussions, business workshops, detailed solution design, configuration, integration troubleshooting, testing, and Go-Live support.

Role requires a candidate who has strong FI + CO + MM + SD + EAM + PS cross-functional expertise, with deep hands-on PS configuration.

Key Responsibilities

Overall Solution Architecture

• Lead the overall SAP S/4HANA solution architecture for the North American rollout.
• Review the existing live Global Template architecture and assess its applicability to the Canadian entity.
• Lead cross-functional Fit-to-Template workshops.
• Strong understanding of the integration of FI/CO with MM, SD, EAM, and PS.
• Proven experience as an SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect responsible for end-to-end, cross-functional solution design.
• Strong and demonstrable cross-functional expertise across SAP FI, CO, MM, SD, EAM, and Project Systems (PS).
• Ability to understand and architect end-to-end business processes spanning multiple SAP modules, rather than operating within a single functional silo.
• Define and adapt end-to-end business process architecture across:
• Project Systems
• Procurement
• Inventory Management
• Supply Chain
• Sales & Distribution
• Quality Management
• Finance
• Asset Management / EAM
• Ensure end-to-end integration between functional areas.
• Identify impacts of Canadian requirements on the Global Template.
• Govern local deviations and ensure appropriate architecture approva
• Drive standard SAP functionality and Clean Core principles.
• Review WRICEF requirements and challenge unnecessary custom development.

Required Experience

• 15+ years SAP consulting experience in North America.
• Strong experience at SAP PS / EPPM & EAM, preferably with global SAP S/4HANA implementations in capacity of Solution Lead or Architect.
• Demonstrated experience leading SAP Global Template rollouts with limited localization.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP PS & EAM configuration in an SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud environment.
• Strong SAP S/4HANA Solution Architecture experience.
• Broad expertise across:

• Experience with RISE with SAP / S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition.

• Ability to make cross-functional architecture decisions.

Global Template & Rollout Experience

• Proven experience leading Global Template assessment, localization, and rollout programs.
• Experience distinguishing legitimate local requirements from process preferences that should not drive Global Template deviations.
• Strong experience documenting and governing:
• Fit/Gap decisions
• Localizations
• Architecture decisions
• Design exceptions
• Cross-functional dependencies
• Experience working with global template owners and local business stakeholders.

Data, Testing & Deployment

• Strong understanding of cross-functional data migration dependencies across FI, CO, MM, SD, EAM, and PS.
• Experience validating master data and opening balances across integrated processes.

• Ability to identify cross-functional impacts during testing and drive resolution through the appropriate functional and technical teams.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Strong ability to communicate complex SAP architecture and design decisions to both business and technical stakeholders.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional workshops with senior business stakeholders.
• Ability to challenge requirements constructively and drive standardization.
• Strong architecture governance, decision-making, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to provide direction to functional leads while remaining sufficiently hands-on to resolve complex issues, particularly within SAP PS & EAM.
