Role Overview The SAR Analyst will be responsible for reviewing and dispositioning transaction monitoring alerts, conducting detailed investigations on complex cases, and supporting suspicious transaction reporting obligations. The role will involve analysing customer activity, transactional behaviour, and available intelligence to identify potential suspicious activity and support timely escalation and reporting to FIU. The candidate will work closely with Compliance, Investigations, Legal, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alerts and cases are reviewed in line with applicable AML/CFT requirements, internal policies, and regulatory expectations. Job Description: Review, investigate, and disposition transaction monitoring alerts relating to customers and activity. Conduct enhanced analysis on complex AML/CFT cases, including review of transaction patterns, customer profiles, source of funds, and related risk indicators. Identify potentially suspicious activity and prepare case narratives with clear rationale for escalation or closure. Support SAR/STR filing processes, including preparation of case summaries, supporting documentation, and submission-related activities. Work on FIU related activities, including STR filing, RFI support, monthly reporting, and maintenance of relevant registers and records. Use the FINnet portal for FIU submissions, reporting, and related regulatory interactions, as required. Ensure investigations are completed within applicable timelines and in accordance with internal quality standards. Maintain accurate documentation of investigative steps, findings, decisions, and escalation rationale. Support ongoing process improvements relating to transaction monitoring, STR reporting, FIU submissions, and regulatory compliance. Job Requirement: Bachelor's degree in a Business, Legal, or related field, or equivalent practical experience 5+ years of experience in investigations, including filing SARs, or related audit/regulatory experience at a financial institution or fintech company Prior experience in AML transaction monitoring, SAR/STR investigations, financial crime compliance, or FIU reporting. Hands-on experience working with the FINnet portal is preferred. Familiarity with crypto/VDA transactions, blockchain analytics, or crypto regulatory environment is highly desirable. Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases within defined timelines.
