Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a SAT Verbal Teacher. The SAT Verbal Teacher will plan and deliver online lessons focused on Reading, Writing & Language, vocabulary, and test-taking strategies aligned with the SAT format. Day-to-day tasks include preparing instructional materials, explaining verbal concepts clearly, guiding students through practice questions, and assigning and reviewing homework. The teacher will monitor student performance, provide constructive feedback, and adapt instruction based on individual needs and progress. Additional responsibilities may include conducting mock tests, maintaining accurate records of student achievement, and communicating with students and families in a professional and timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Strong command of English language skills, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and academic writing.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching SAT Verbal or similar standardized test preparation, with familiarity in test format, scoring, and effective strategies.
  • Ability to design clear lesson plans, create practice materials, and use online tools to deliver engaging remote instruction.
  • Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills to support diverse learners in an online environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; prior tutoring or teaching experience is strongly preferred.
  • Reliable internet connection, comfort with virtual learning platforms, and ability to work independently with consistent availability for scheduled classes.
  • Commitment to educational equity, cultural sensitivity, and fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment for all students.
