Job Description

• As part of its digital transformation, CLIENT is engaged in a strategic program to modernize and replace its SCADA system. This project is essential to ensure the supervision, safety and performance of the electricity and gas networks.
• To support this transition, CLIENT is looking for a SCADA Engineer responsible for:
• Participating in the operational management of the existing SCADA,
• Actively contributing to the testing, validation, migration and commissioning of the new SCADA platform,
• Guaranteeing the standards of reliability, availability and cybersecurity of the system.
• The engineer will work within the Special Techniques team, in close collaboration with the remote control technicians and with external suppliers.

Main tasks and activities:

Operational management of the current SCADA:

• Ensure the daily operation of the SCADA system and its components (applications, communications, databases).
• Monitor performance, detect anomalies and coordinate corrective actions.
• Manage updates, patches, minor changes and user requests.
• Ensure system availability according to operational requirements.
• Participation in the replacement of SCADA
• Prepare and participate in technical tests and migration/commissioning scenarios
• Verify SCADA databases, images, and configurations to ensure the consistency and quality of integrated data
• Validate functionalities, alarms, communications, and operator interfaces
• Provide support for the identification, analysis, and resolution of technical issues
• Analyze, consolidate and control the quality of SCADA data from the various systems and operational sources
• Verify the compliance of deliverables with reliability, security and performance standards.
• Contribute to the documentation of configurations, procedures and test results.

Coordination & Support:

• Serve as a technical point of contact for SCADA vendors and integrators.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Provide technical support to internal users (dispatching, field teams, technicians).
• Contribute to user training and the writing of educational materials.
• Participate in cross-functional projects related to the digitalization of networks.

Must-Have Skills

• Experience with a SCADA system
• Experience in the energy or automation or control systems sector.
• Engineering education or equivalent experience (electromechanics, computer science, electronics)
• Proficiency in MS Office

Should Have Skills

• Knowledge of OT/ICS cybersecurity
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3, Modbus...)
• Experience with the LYNX solution
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and with external providers
• Project management skills or involvement in complex technical projects
