Company: Gemco Rail Pty Ltd Job Function: Operations Employment Type: Permanent Full Time About the Role Gemco Rail is seeking a Scheduler to join our Dynon team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day scheduling of customer fleets entering the Dynon Maintenance Facility, ensuring maintenance activities are planned efficiently and delivered on time. You will work closely with customers, operations, supervisors, and team leaders to manage schedules, communicate changes, and maximise fleet availability and workshop capacity. This role will report to Fleet Delivery Manager. Key Responsibilities of this role include: Develop and maintain daily and four-week rolling schedules to support customer requirements, fleet availability, and workshop capacity. Coordinate maintenance activities, locomotive movements, and workshop access to ensure safe and efficient operations. Lead daily scheduling meetings and act as the key point of contact for customers, operations teams, supervisors, and team leaders. Communicate schedule changes, delays, completions, and carry-over work to stakeholders. Monitor schedule performance, customer KPIs, and operational priorities to support continuous improvement. Ensure materials, parts, and external services are available to support planned work. Maintain accurate scheduling records and provide daily and weekly scheduling reports to support workshop delivery and forward planning. About You Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Demonstrated experience in maintenance scheduling, fleet planning or workshop coordination. Ability to build and maintain daily, weekly and four-week rolling work schedules. Strong communication skills with customers, planner, supervisors, team leaders and operations teams. Ability to priorities changing work demands, manage carry-over work and respond to schedule disruptions. Experience using scheduling, ERP or maintenance management systems, including accurate job status updates and close-out. Sound knowledge of rail maintenance, preventive maintenance requirements and workshop planning processes. Demonstrated use of Microsoft Office programs and visual management tools, including workshop visual boards. High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate scheduling data, handover notes and reporting packs.
