As an OVERNIGHT Scheduling Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in the daily, off-hours operations of our security personnel. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the performance of our overnight security team, managing schedules, ensuring that all shifts are adequately staffed, and making weekly physical visits to assigned posts. This position requires scheduling experience, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, computer skills, a working laptop, and the ability to effectively manage time and resources in a hybrid work environment (85% of the assignment is work at home, weekly in-field visits to security posts will be required).
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support security personnel across various locations throughout New York City, ensuring compliance with company policies and client requirements.
- Create, maintain, and adjust work schedules for security staff to ensure full coverage.
- Monitor attendance, track shift changes, and handle any scheduling conflicts or emergencies.
- Conduct regular check-ins with security officers to provide guidance, address concerns, and ensure job satisfaction.
- Coordinate with upper management to understand their security needs and adjust staffing as necessary.
- Prepare and submit reports on staffing levels, performance, and other operational metrics (general information forms, DARs, etc.).
- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new security personnel.
- Respond to urgent incidents or issues that arise during shifts, providing direction and support to on-site staff.
- Utilize scheduling software and other tools to manage and optimize workforce deployment.
- Once per week, perform in person visits to the security guards at their assigned post; ensuring job performance and compliance (logbooks, uniform, rounds, etc)
Qualifications:
- 3 years experience in supervision and scheduling.
- Proficient in using scheduling software and other remote work tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
- Proficient with Apple products, particularly Macbook Pro and iPhones.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Availability during overnight hours (10/11PM until 6/7AM)
- Familiarity with security industry regulations and best practices.
