Salary Range: CA$25.00 To CA$40.00 Hourly REMOTE OPPORTUNITY - Global opportunity CoSA VFX is seeking a solutions-oriented, team-focused candidate for its Scheduling Coordinator position. This person will bridge the gap between production and the artists. They will be the artists’ first point of contact for all information regarding production needs and expectations and will be responsible for communicating those needs and expectations back to production and the larger facility. You will be responsible for coordinating between 10-20 visual effects artists. A large part of the Scheduling Coordinator’s duties is to care for the well-being of their artists. This position is here to help make our artist's jobs easier. As such, the Scheduling Coordinator will need to speak to multiple departments throughout the day to ensure that the artists are adequately tasked, and not overburdened. They're also responsible for watching the artist's time. Excessive OT is an endemic problem within the VFX industry and CoSA values a healthy work-life balance. This position is part of the vanguard of keeping that value alive. This full-time permanent staff position is pivotal to the successful coordination of artists and projects. The Scheduling Coordinator will be a member of CoSA's Scheduling department, reporting directly to the Los Angeles-based Operations Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to): Ensuring staff are sufficiently tasked while ensuring they are not overburdened Discovering any roadblocks artists might be experiencing and help facilitate in discovering solutions Communicating deadlines to both artists and the production team Tracking and communicating available resources or resourcing concerns with the appropriate teams Managing and maintaining an overall list of priorities across all shows within FTrack & the scheduling tool Ensuring that all tasks within your department are assigned out as soon as possible. Make sure said tasks are properly scheduled in the scheduling tool Support the artist's wellbeing by: Being communicative with the artists and staying in contact thought out the day Monitor artist time and provide solutions to limit the need for overtime Flag concerns and notify the Operations Manager Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: As an entry-level position with CoSA, we're not expecting you to know everything this role does. We can train the duties of the role.
