Salary: £25,559 - £26,909
Hours: 35 per week

At McLaren High School, we are committed to excellence in education and the holistic development of our young people. With a team of highly professional teaching and support staff, we set high expectations for our pupils, working in partnership with parents to challenge, support, and inspire them. Our school community is built on the core values of Inclusivity, Community, Kindness, and Growth, ensuring that every pupil is empowered to succeed, develop confidence, and become a responsible global citizen. These commitments were recognised when we were named Scottish Secondary School of the Year 2024 by the Sunday Times Parent Power List.

Due to a long term absence we are seeking a temporary ICT Technician. You will provide day-to-day ICT support across the school, helping staff and pupils get the most from technology. Duties include: repairing and maintaining Chromebooks and laptops; supporting staff with classroom technology issues; setting up and installing computers and ICT equipment; managing user accounts and carrying out routine system checks. You would also support ICT projects and equipment upgrades across the school.

You will also be required to carry out regular ICT housekeeping ensuring back ups are run, user accounts are created and removed appropriately. Flexibility will be required from time to time, eg to ensure set up for events such as annual awards ceremonies.

This is a stand alone role within the school, you are part of a wider network of technicians based in each of the secondary schools and support and guidance is available through the central service desk and education technology team.

McLaren High School is located in one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland, on the southern edge of Callander—an easy commute from the Central Belt, just 25 minutes from Stirling and 45 minutes from Glasgow.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.

If you’ve got the right skills for the job we want to hear from you. We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of age (restrictions apply to Modern Apprenticeships), disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, belief or race.
