About the Opportunity

We are seeking outstanding international scientists, researchers, engineers, technology experts, and innovators to participate in The 2027 Overseas Talent Program.

The program is designed to connect experienced global talent with leading universities, research institutes, laboratories, hospitals, and high-tech enterprises in China, supporting international research collaboration, technological innovation, and long-term academic and industrial development.

Depending on your background and career stage, you may be considered for one of three major pathways:

• Innovation Talent — for established researchers, senior scientists, technical leaders, and experienced industry R&D experts
• Young Talent — for outstanding early-career researchers with strong academic or technological potential
• Postdoctoral Talent — for qualified researchers at the early postdoctoral / post-PhD stage

The program may provide opportunities to develop research projects, establish joint research teams, participate in major scientific initiatives, collaborate with Chinese institutions, and translate research into practical applications.

4. Competitive Compensation & Government Support

Depending on the candidate's qualifications, program track, host institution, and local policies, eligible candidates may receive competitive compensation and government-supported talent benefits.

Indicative annual salary range:

Approximately USD 70,000 – USD 285,000+

Potential government talent awards may include:

Innovation Talent

• Talent Award: up to approximately USD 570,000
• Housing Support: up to approximately USD 240,000

Young Talent

• Talent Award: up to approximately USD 430,000
• Housing Support: up to approximately USD 240,000

Postdoctoral Talent

• Talent Award: up to approximately USD 285,000
• Housing Support: up to approximately USD 240,000

Outstanding candidates may also be eligible for additional research funding of up to approximately USD 715,000, depending on the applicable program and host institution.
