About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, pragmatic, and outcomes-driven Scrum Master to join a high-performing Digital & eCommerce team within an enterprise Pharmaceutical / Healthcare company. In this role, you will lead an internal backend development squad delivering crucial new B2B eCommerce capabilities within a modern, headless technology stack.

You will play a pivotal role in managing delivery flow, removing impediments, and coordinating critical dependencies across internal microservice teams and an external frontend agency partner.

With two key deployment milestones on the horizon, this is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Agile practitioner to drive clarity, maintain delivery momentum, and ensure seamless delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Agile Facilitation: Lead all core Scrum/Kanban ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Refinement, and Retrospectives) ensuring clear focus, actionable outcomes, and shared accountability.
• Dependency & Delivery Management: Actively identify and manage cross-functional dependencies between internal backend squads and the external agency building the frontend portal.
• Backlog & Flow Optimization: Partner closely with Senior Product Owners and Project Managers to support backlog prioritization, capacity planning, sizing, and release tracking.
• Impediment Removal & Risk Management: Proactively unblock the team, resolve conflicts, and escalate risks early to maintain high delivery confidence against strict target deployment dates.
• Delivery Transparency: Maintain pristine delivery tracking in Jira/Azure DevOps and provide decision-ready reporting on team velocity, throughput, and release readiness.
• Team Coaching: Promote continuous improvement, foster a psychologically safe culture, and use metrics to build sustainable team velocity and predictability.
  
  

Key Requirements & Selection Criteria

• Agile Experience: Proven senior level experience as a Scrum Master within complex, cross-functional tech environments.
• E-Commerce / Digital Expertise: Prior experience delivering digital, headless eCommerce platforms, microservice architecture updates, or complex multi-system integrations.
• Dependency Orchestration: Demonstrated ability managing complex cross-team dependencies and third-party vendor/agency delivery schedules.
• Tooling: Proficiency in Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or equivalent Agile management suites.
• Domain Knowledge (Highly Advantageous): Background in Pharmaceutical, Retail, Healthcare, or eCommerce sectors is strongly preferred.
• Certifications (Desirable): PSM I/II, CSM, or equivalent formal Agile certifications.
• Soft Skills: A calm, proactive, and resilient communicator who builds trust easily and brings clarity to ambiguous or fast-moving environments.
