Scrum Master
We are looking for two experienced Scrum Masters to join our client’s team and support a significant data capability uplift. This is an opportunity to guide delivery across complex IT initiatives, champion effective agile practices and help teams achieve high-quality outcomes.
The role is based in Sydney and offers hybrid working, with a minimum of 50% attendance at the Sydney office. The initial contract is for 16–18 months.
About the role
You’ll work closely with the Project Manager, Scrum team, Product Owner, internal IT teams and governance committees. The environment includes stakeholders and governance processes who may not operate within an agile framework, so your ability to adapt, communicate and keep delivery moving will be key.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning and refinement, stand-ups, retrospectives and showcases.
- Support teams to apply the Scrum framework and deliver quality business outcomes.
- Identify, track and help resolve impediments, risks and issues affecting sprint delivery.
- Contribute to high-level and detailed planning of project milestones, outputs and tasks.
- Partner with the Project Manager and business and IT stakeholders to coordinate delivery.
- Support project status updates for governance committees.
- Coach teams, champion Scrum practices and encourage self-organisation.
- Drive continuous improvement to strengthen productivity and delivery quality.
About you
- At least four years’ experience working as a Scrum Master.
- Experience delivering IT projects and a sound understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Scrum Master certification.
- Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills, with a professional approach.
- A proactive, collaborative style and the leadership skills to motivate teams and support delivery.
- Analytical, user-focused and solutions-oriented, with the ability to identify issues and opportunities.
- Experience in CRM or financial projects is highly desirable.
Eligibility: Applicants must be Australian citizens and able to obtain Baseline security clearance.
If you’re an adaptable Scrum Master who enjoys helping teams deliver meaningful outcomes, this contract offers the chance to contribute to an important data program within a financial regulatory environment.
