Opportunity Overview

Our client is an Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) agency and digital product consultancy in London, helping brands get found, cited and recommended inside AI answers across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and AI Overviews. Their work runs on three pillars, content, technology and digital PR, alongside proprietary planning products and industry events.

Role Description

The SEO Manager will drive organic growth across our client's own brand and client accounts, blending technical, content and off-page work with an emerging focus on AI answer visibility. You will shape strategy, execute against it, and measure results using industry-standard tools. Over the first year you will follow a structured, funded upskilling path into Answer Engine Optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

• SEO Strategy - Develop and implement SEO strategies covering technical, content and off-page work for the brand and clients.
• Technical Optimisation - Optimise site structure, page speed, schema markup, crawlability and mobile performance across all managed properties.
• Content Alignment - Partner with content creators using keyword research, entity mapping and question-level coverage for search intent.
• Authority Building - Build the citation, mention and link profile that lifts traditional rankings and AI answer inclusion.
• AI Visibility Audits - Run brand visibility audits across AI answer engines and turn findings into prioritised action plans.
• Performance Reporting - Use Google Analytics, Search Console, SE Ranking and Ahrefs to measure and report performance to stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

• English Fluency - Fluent, excellent written and spoken English is mandatory for this role.
• SEO Experience - Proven experience across technical SEO, content optimisation and link building, with measurable ranking improvements.
• Analytical Mindset - Strong ability to interpret data, spot the story inside it, and act on findings.
• Tool Proficiency - Confidence with Google Analytics, Search Console, SE Ranking, SEMrush, Ahrefs and Screaming Frog.
• Seniority - Three to five years of hands-on SEO experience across technical, content and off-page workstreams.
