About the Role
H&R Block is investing in an AI-first future to transform how we serve our clients, and Greenlight is testing new tools and ways of working to create an easy, seamless client experience backed by the knowledge and expertise of our tax advisors. As a Seasonal Lead Virtual Tax Advisor, you will be at the forefront of this innovation, leading and coaching a remote team to deliver accurate tax outcomes, consistent client experiences, and strong performance. You will also play an important role in our test-and-learn approach by gathering team feedback, identifying opportunities, and helping shape the Greenlight operating model while providing hands-on tax guidance and quality oversight in a fully virtual environment.
Day to day, you’ll...
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train seasonal Virtual Tax Professionals on tax policies, virtual platforms, and workflow systems
- Create and adjust team schedules while monitoring attendance, productivity, and adherence to virtual work expectations
- Review performance metrics and provide timely coaching and feedback to support individual and team goals
- Be a connected leader who builds strong relationships, promotes open communication, and fosters an engaged, collaborative, and inclusive virtual team within our Connected Culture
- Provide guidance on complex tax scenarios and ensure adherence to Internal Revenue Service requirements and company compliance standards
- Support client escalations and virtual service delivery as needed to deliver accurate, consistent client experiences
Required Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Work Experience:
- Ability to lead, motivate, and coach remote teams effectively
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience serving clients in a virtual or remote environment
- Flexibility to work extended or varied hours during the seasonal period
- Internet speed of at least 15 Mbps
- Supervisory or people leadership experience
- 3 years of experience in tax preparation and/or tax research
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.
Work Experience:
- Circular 230 credential (attorney, EA or CPA)
- Experience leading remote teams

Pay Range Information
