Seasoned estimator (Permanent AU Dayshift, Remote/WFH Philippines)

Job Description This is a remote position. PERMANENT AU DAYSHIFT, REMOTE/WFH - PHILIPPINES Job Description: Seasoned Estimator Full time : 40 hours per week VA Rate : OPEN for NEGOTIATION (No budget ceiling) Expectation : someone with 10+ years exp. We are seeking an initiative-taking and experienced Estimator with strong Commercial and Architectural skills to join our team. As an estimator you will be working closely daily with the Managing Director and will closely liaise with Client Project Managers (PMs), Quantity Surveyors (QS), and key subcontractors during the tender preparation process to clarify scope, design issues, and achieve the most accurate pricing. The Estimator will lead and take ownership of allocated tenders, prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and professional tender submissions. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ● Project estimation ● Preparing a Scope of Works for a wide range of projects ● Obtaining competitively priced materials ● Preparation and participation in Tender Handover meetings ● Form relationships with existing clients including following up on existing tenders. ● Ensure compliance with Tender requirements. ● Prepare construction budget by studying plans, specification, and schedules, identifying and projecting costs, ● Measurement of critical take-off metrics and preparation of bill of quantities,· ● Sending and tracking of tender packages to contractors and suppliers, ● Report on tender risk & opportunities ● Ensure tender submissions are in line with client requirements. Candidates must have: ● Must have minimum of 10 years Estimation experience ● Experience in earthworks, stormwater and civil works ● Experience in construction and reading plans is a MUST ● Exp in AU is MUST ● Experience in Bluebeam or similar tools ● Good communication skills ● Proficiency in Word and Excel ● Working knowledge and understanding of architectural drawings ● Must be flexible and be able to work to tight deadlines. ● Previous experience in a similar role is essential - general estimator ● The ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team. ● Be flexible and progressive in thinking and be able to action thoughts. ● Proficient skills in excel ● Detail oriented (provide detailed quotes covering materials, labor, and installation costs) ● Understand QA ● Read plans and understanding the scope of work ● Liaising with onsite team ● High attention to detail ● Takes responsibility and get the job done
