Security Administrator Intern

Job Description This is a remote position. We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Security Administrator Intern to manage user access, credentials, and routine security operations across various business systems. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to maintain security integrity across multiple platforms. Key Responsibilities Password & Credential Management Manage, reset, and update passwords and credentials across key business tools (1Password, Google Workspace, Slack, HubSpot, AWS, etc.) Ensure all credentials are securely stored and rotated according to internal security protocols. User Access Administration Add, remove, and modify user access and permissions across various systems. Maintain appropriate access controls based on user roles and department needs. Security Ticket Resolution Respond to and resolve security-related support requests in a timely manner. Perform hands-on system changes as needed and escalate complex issues to the Security Director. Account Provisioning & Deprovisioning Set up accounts for new employees and revoke access for departing team members in accordance with security policies. Ensure a smooth onboarding/offboarding experience while maintaining strict security compliance. Basic Security Monitoring Monitor systems for unusual or suspicious activity. Report and escalate potential security incidents to the Security Director. Documentation & Compliance Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all access changes, credential updates, and security-related actions. Support internal audits and compliance checks by ensuring accurate and up-to-date records. Requirements Preferred experience with: IT administration, user access management, or related security operations Authentication methods, account provisioning, and access control best practices Managing systems such as Google Workspace, Slack, HubSpot, AWS, or 1Password Maintaining organized and detailed documentation Handling sensitive data with confidentiality and professionalism Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and escalation procedures Technical Requirements: A dual monitor setup is required (at least 8GB of RAM) Must have at least 25 MBPS internet speed Benefits 40 hours a week, 8 hours a day Competitive salary base Permanent WFH setup Unlimited FREE access to MAG School courses and SOP Library!
