The Role

As Sharon AI continues to grow, we're looking for a talented Security Architect to join our Security team and play an important role in developing our technical security architecture and the standards, patterns and baselines that delivery teams build against, reporting to our CISO.

In this role, the Security Architect will help define our technical security strategy and develop the architecture and roadmap that delivers it, reflecting Sharon AI's risk posture, threat model and regulatory requirements as the business scales. You'll work closely with Engineering, Infrastructure and GRC teams so that security requirements are designed in from the outset, setting the architectural direction that our Security Engineers implement and operate, with exposure to cutting-edge AI infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operate as an internal security architecture SME, engaging early with delivery teams so security requirements are designed in rather than retrofitted
• Help define the technical security strategy and develop the security architecture and roadmap that delivers it
• Evolve and mature trust boundary and tenant isolation design across dedicated and shared customer environments
• Evolve and mature the reference patterns, standards and security baselines that Engineering and Infrastructure teams build against
• Partner with Engineering and Infrastructure on solution design, reviewing designs for alignment with our security architecture and risk posture
• Drive the security tooling strategy, including where to consolidate and how the toolset evolves as the business grows
• Develop logging, telemetry and detection coverage requirements as part of the security architecture
• Evolve the secure software development lifecycle model and threat modelling methodology
• Ensure security controls are designed in during platform build out, including new environments and capacity expansion
• Assess penetration testing and red team findings for systemic or design-level issues
• Continue maturing the identity and zero trust target architecture
• Provide architectural input into ISO 27001 and SOC 2 programs

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years' experience in security architecture, security engineering or infrastructure security, including time in a design or standards-setting capacity
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and network security, including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, TLS and zero trust architectures
• Demonstrated ability to design multi-tenant security models and define trust boundaries across shared and dedicated infrastructure
• Experience designing security architecture across on-premises and data centre environments
• Familiarity with security control frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST CSF or Essential Eight)
• Experience developing threat models and security reference patterns adopted by engineering teams
• Sufficient hands-on depth to engage credibly with engineers on implementation detail
• Strong communication and influencing skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have:

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF or equivalent
• Experience in AI infrastructure, GPU computing, data centre or high-performance computing environments
• Experience securing cloud-native environments and working within DevSecOps or agile engineering teams
• Background in AI Factory infrastructure or high-performance computing
• Holding an active baseline security clearance, or able to obtain one
