Security Specialist II

Description Security Specialist II Location: Bengaluru, India Jeppesen ForeFlight is the industry leader in aviation software and data, serving commercial airlines, military operators, business aviation, and general aviation pilots worldwide. Jeppesen ForeFlight is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Security Specialist to manage day-to-day administrative and operational functions of our Bengaluru office. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth office functioning, support vendor and facility management, and coordinate cross-functional administrative processes. Position Responsibilities: Fire Prevention & Inspections: Management of fire alarms, smoke detectors, hydrants, fire curtains and extinguishers. Ensure emergency exits are clear of obstructions. Risk Management: Perform fire risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with local regulations and long with developing and maintaining Business continuity Plan. Emergency Response: Create and implement evacuation plans and act as the on-site emergency commander. Training & Drills: Lead fire drills and conduct training sessions for office personnel on fire safety protocols. Maintenance & Records: Monitor the maintenance of fire equipment and maintain documentation of audits, training, and incidents. Access Control: Monitor building entry points, verify employee IDs, and manage visitor/contractor logs to prevent unauthorized access. Surveillance and Patrolling: Conduct regular patrols of office floors, parking areas, and perimeters; monitor CCTV systems and alarm panels. Safety and Compliance: Enforce company security policies and ensure safety protocols, such as keeping escape routes clear. Key and Asset Management: Manage keys, secure building locks, and protect sensitive equipment. Fire, Security & EHS related AMC management, Contract Management. Incident Response: Handle emergencies, investigate security breaches, and document incidents. Liaison: Build relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services. Controlling budgets for security operations and monitor expenses. Analyze data to form proposals for improvements (e.g. implementation of new technology) Badge management: Involves creating, issuing, and controlling employee or visitor credentials to secure facilities and manage access. EHS: ensure the organization's compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards. Basic Qualifications (Required) : Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Business Administration preferred) 5+ years of experience in office administration/operations, preferably in a corporate or startup environment Strong vendor management and negotiation skills Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace (Excel/Sheets, Word/Docs, PowerPoint/Slides) Experience handling office budgets and basic expense tracking Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail Familiarity with local Bengaluru vendors/service providers is a plus Why You Should Join: At Jeppesen ForeFlight, we know you want a rewarding career.
