As we continue to expand our business, we are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Senior Account Manager to strengthen our strategic customer partnerships and accelerate sustainable growth.
About the Role
As a Senior Account Manager, you will take ownership of strategic customer accounts, develop long-term commercial partnerships, and drive revenue growth and profitability.
You will play a key role in identifying business opportunities, leading complex commercial negotiations, and translating market insights into effective growth strategies.
This position offers a high level of autonomy, direct commercial responsibility, and valuable international exposure. Frequent business travel is an essential part of the role, providing opportunities to strengthen customer relationships, explore new markets, and develop partnerships across different business environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Account Management: Own and develop key customer accounts, building long-term growth plans and maintaining strong relationships with senior decision-makers.
- Commercial Growth: Drive revenue, profitability, distribution expansion, and business development within assigned customer portfolios.
- Negotiation & Agreements: Lead commercial negotiations, including annual agreements, pricing strategies, promotional investments, and long-term partnerships.
- Category & Market Development: Analyse sales performance, category trends, customer needs, and market developments to identify and implement growth opportunities.
- Financial & Sales Performance: Monitor sales targets, profit margins, trade investments, forecasts, and account profitability to support effective commercial decisions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to achieve business objectives and resolve complex commercial challenges.
- Business Travel & Customer Engagement: Undertake frequent business travel to meet key customers, strengthen strategic partnerships, attend commercial meetings, and explore new business opportunities.
- Risk & Process Management: Identify and mitigate commercial risks, manage customer escalations, and continuously improve account management processes.
- Coaching & Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior sales colleagues and deliver sales-related training to support team development.
- Decision-Making Authority: Make independent commercial decisions within assigned strategic accounts, in line with company policies, approved budgets, and delegated authority.
What We're Looking For
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in Key Account Management, Sales, or Commercial Management, preferably within the FMCG or food industry.
- Proven experience managing strategic retail, wholesale, or distribution accounts.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, improving profitability, and building long-term customer partnerships.
- Advanced commercial negotiation skills, including annual agreements, pricing, promotional investments, and distribution strategies.
- Strong understanding of category management, retail dynamics, and customer growth strategies.
- Solid financial and analytical skills, including margin analysis, forecasting, trade investment, pricing, and P&L awareness.
- Ability to interpret complex sales data and translate insights into effective commercial actions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Confidence in making independent commercial decisions and managing complex customer situations.
- Ability to coach and support the professional development of junior sales colleagues.
- Willingness and flexibility to undertake frequent business travel as required by the role
- Professional proficiency in English; Dutch or other languages are an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.

- Competitive gross monthly salary of €4,200–€5,600, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Full-time employment (40 hours per week).
