About TPConnects
TPConnects is a leading travel content aggregator and distribution travel -tech company. We support airlines and travel agencies to distribute retail travel products through our solutions built on IATA’s New Distribution Capability (NDC) Standard. Our goal is to provide solutions that unlock retailing possibilities for the industry without the constraints of legacy systems. We have a vibrant, multi-cultural team and we celebrate and recognize our talents. We are headquartered in Dubai, UAE, with teams in Poland and other European locations.
The role
You will own TPConnects’ relationship with one of our most strategic customers, a corporate travel / online booking tool (OBT) provider. We supply its core air-travel technology: shopping, booking, ticketing and servicing through our APIs and we are supporting their global footprint expansion, as well as their adaptation to the AI Driven, Agentic travel.
You will be the customer’s trusted partner, from operations teams up to the C suite. You will help make sure our delivery is excellent, protect and grow the account, and work with our Product and Engineering teams to shape the roadmap. This role suits someone who understands how an air booking flows from search to ticket to after-sales servicing, and who can talk confidently with both a technical lead and a product lead.
Europe (Warsaw, Sofia, Remote)| Full-time
What you’ll do
Strategic account management
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the customer’s organisation, from Operations to C-level. Keep an up-to-date stakeholder and influence map.
- Hold regular touchpoints with the customer, including governance calls, steering committees and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
- Anticipate the customer’s needs and spot risks to the relationship before they escalate.
- Own retention and growth. Find upsell and cross-sell opportunities, such as new content, new airlines or NDC sources, servicing features and new markets, and turn them into revenue.
- Prepare and present regular reports to the customer: QBRs, project updates, performance and volume reports, and financial statements.
- Act as the single point of accountability for the relationship with visibility of all key communication between the customer and TPConnects.
- Analyse booking, transaction and performance data to find insights that strengthen the relationship and show the value we deliver.
- Manage client expectations and help prioritise new development requests, balancing client needs with company priorities, capacity and commercial value.
- Manage and track adherence to agreed SLA
Delivery and project leadership
- Turn the customer’s business needs into clear functional requirements for our Product team.
- Lead delivery with internal teams across functions, tracking progress through dashboards and Jira.
- Act as the client’s main point of contact during incidents and outages, giving clear updates from first alert to resolution and making sure they get a full root cause analysis (RCA) with agreed follow-up actions.
- Communicate releases throughout the project, including ad-hoc release notes, impact assessments and go-live readiness.
- Close projects properly, with handover, success criteria and ongoing monitoring agreed with the customer.
Growth beyond the account
- Work with the Sales team to prospect for and onboard new customers.
What you’ll bring
Must-have
- 5–8+ years in account management, client services or project management, including at least 3 years in the travel industry.
- Hands-on knowledge of air distribution: GDS, NDC, TMCs, OBTs, airline content, and the booking and ticketing lifecycle (PNRs, fares, ancillaries, exchanges and refunds).
- A track record of managing complex B2B technology accounts with senior stakeholders, up to C-level.
- Experience running several complex projects at once using Agile, Waterfall or hybrid methods.
- Comfort working with API-based, high-volume technical integrations. You don’t need to code, but you need to hold your own with engineers.
- Strong analytical skills: you can read data, draw insights and present them clearly.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills for every audience, from operations to the boardroom.
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach to solving problems.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Jira and Confluence.
Strong advantage
- Experience at a leading travel company, for example:
- a TMC such as Amex GBT, BCD Travel, CWT or Egencia
- a GDS such as Amadeus, Sabre or Travelport
- an airline, or an NDC aggregator or technology provider
- A consulting or project management background, for example at McKinsey, BCG, Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG, EY or PwC, or within the travel industry. A proven record in procurement projects, tool implementations, RFP management or change management is a plus.
- Experience with corporate travel programmes, travel policy or OBT implementation.
Why join us
- Own one of our most strategic relationships, with visibility right up to our leadership team.
- Work at the heart of the industry’s move to NDC and modern airline retailing.
