Description Senior Accountant — Ancon Services Ancon is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance Team. This is a high-visibility role that sits at the center of our monthly close process — the critical link between transactional accounting and financial reporting across multiple entities. You'll work closely with a fellow Senior Accountant and CFO and have real opportunity to grow into greater ownership as our finance function scales alongside the business. Key Responsibilities: Own the month-end close process end-to-end, meeting established deadlines and maintaining a detailed close checklist Perform monthly bank reconciliations across all company accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner Prepare and post inter-company journal entries, ensuring accurate elimination and reconciliation between related entities Record and review monthly accruals (expense, revenue, payroll, and other) to ensure accurate period-end reporting Prepare and analyze the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve variances Prepare and file Sales & Use Tax, Personal Property Tax, and other privilege/excise taxes Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of the close cycle Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies What We're Looking For: Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes Experience with inter-company accounting and multi-entity environments Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred (not required): CPA or active CPA candidacy What We Can Offer You: Hybrid work-from-home/in-office schedule Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance (eligible after 30 days), plus FSA/HSA options Sick time and holiday pay (eligible after 3 months) Accrued vacation pay (eligible after 6 months) Group 401(k) with company match Real opportunity for growth — as a mid-sized family business, we look to promote from within and expand responsibility as you prove yourself A family-friendly workplace that supports balance between work and home life Ready to bring your accounting expertise to a growing, family-oriented company?
