Senior Accountant

Role: Senior Accountant Location: 1099 - Remote Job Type: Part-Time Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to provide part-time accounting support for multiple companies. This remote, 1099 position averages up to 30 - 40 hours per month and requires strong cost accounting, financial reporting, and QuickBooks Online experience. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain accurate financial records, accounting documentation, and standard operating procedures. Key Responsibilities: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations. Prepare financial statements and month-end accounting activities. Manage payroll support, 1099 reporting, interest expense, and journal entries. Maintain invoices, receipts, ACH authorizations, W-9s, tax codes, tax exemption certificates, mileage records, and accounting files. Perform cost accounting and intercompany accounting, including pricing analysis and support billing using Clockify. Maintain corporate records, including Secretary of State filings, leases, contracts, subscriptions, and other accounting documentation. Maintain QuickBooks Online records, including deleted transactions, declined estimates, chart of accounts, and supporting documentation. Support State of Georgia filings and ensure accounting compliance. Maintain accounting templates, reference files, SOPs, work instructions, and master data. Assist with expense reports, benefits administration support, rental workbook processes, and other accounting projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred. 5+ years of senior-level accounting experience. Strong knowledge of cost accounting and intercompany accounting. Advanced experience with QuickBooks Online. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.
