Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close, including, prepaid amortization, fixed asset entries, and other assigned accounts. Prepare account reconciliations, including bank accounts, credit card statements, and balance sheet accounts, with timely resolution of reconciling items. Ensure integrity of data entered into ERP systems and databases; support process improvement and automation initiatives. Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, HIPAA requirements, and applicable federal, state, local, and Puerto Rico regulations. Prepare documentation and schedules for external auditors; respond to audit inquiries under the direction of the Accounting Manager. Demonstrate initiative in understanding process flows, internal controls, and the underlying business dynamics driving financial results. Maintain strict confidentiality of financial records and abide by all applicable local, state, federal, and Puerto Rico rules and regulations. Support strategic projects, system implementations, and other finance initiatives as assigned. Qualifications: BS/BA in Accounting required, CPA or pursuing CPA preferred Minimum 3–5 years of experience in general accounting; public accounting experience a plus. Knowledge of ERP and other accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred). High level of integrity, positive can-do attitude, and strong work ethic. Solid understanding of the month-end close process and full-cycle accounting. Proficiency in MS Excel applications (pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, sumifs). Healthcare company experience preferred. Ability to multitask and manipulate large volumes of data with accuracy. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong problem identification and resolution skills. Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Location: Position is remote and the location of candidate is flexible within the U.S.
