We’re looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant who is eager to make an impact and grow within a dynamic, rapidly expanding company. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with our finance team to manage the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely and accurate month-end closing procedures. This position offers opportunities to make a positive impact in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and perform monthly financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial results, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, resolving discrepancies and ensuring data integrity.
  • Provide financial analysis and variance support to management, offering actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance department.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare for audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Thrive in ambiguous situations, making informed decisions with limited information, adapting to changing priorities, and driving progress despite uncertainty

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with a passion for accuracy and process optimization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally across departments.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar) is a plus.
  • CPA certification is a plus, with preference given to candidates who hold or are actively pursuing this credential

Salary

The salary range for this role is $95,000 to $105,00 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, internal equity, etc.

How We Work

This will be a US-based position. We offer flexible work arrangements including fully remote, in person or hybrid opportunities. For those looking to work in person, we have physical offices in the following cities:

  • Wayne, PA
  • Austin, TX

Many DaySmart employees primarily work from home, and our teams are structured to operate efficiently in a distributed environment. While we don’t always share a physical office, we work together closely through remote collaboration practices.

We maintain a highly collaborative culture and expect all employees to actively participate in meetings, discussions, and team interactions. This includes joining scheduled video calls with cameras on, contributing to conversations, and being fully present.
