About the Role

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will hold primary responsibility for the daily operations of the Accounting Department. In this role, you will establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. You will also assist with revenue accounting operations across the company—including accounts receivable and general ledger functions—as well as financial reporting and analysis.

What You'll Do

Support Revenue Accounting: Assist the revenue accounting function, including reviewing and documenting revenue contracts, establishing and maintaining revenue recognition policies, and managing revenue-related audit inquiries in accordance with ASC 606.
Manage the Revenue Close Process: Oversee month-end close tasks by reconciling month-end balance sheets and revenue accounts, as well as analyzing revenue variances.
Oversee Intercompany Accounting: Manage intercompany accounting processes to ensure eliminations are properly taking place.
Collaborate on Customer Contracts: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Legal, and Operations, to review customer contracts, identify revenue recognition issues or risks, and determine appropriate treatment under ASC 606.
Manage Complex Transactions: Take a leading role in managing and collaborating on complex transactions with billing, deal teams, and other business stakeholders.
Lead Audit Interactions: Work directly with external auditors to present significant item updates and supporting documentation for annual audits.
Handle International Consolidation: Assist with the consolidation of revenue accounting for international entities, including foreign currency translations.
Maintain Internal Controls & Systems: Develop and maintain strong internal controls over accounting areas. Partner with cross-functional teams to define business requirements, ensure data integrity, and oversee testing and deployment for tools related to customer revenue.
Drive Process Improvements: Conduct regular assessments of revenue processes and controls, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.

What You'll Bring

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
3–5 years of accounting experience.
Solid knowledge of US GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
An enthusiastic, adaptable mindset that views challenges as opportunities to grow.

Preferred

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
Experience using AI tools to save time and automate tasks where possible.
Experience using Workday.
Experience within FinTech, payments, payment gateways, payment orchestration, or financial services.
Experience supporting organizations operating across North America, Europe, LATAM, and APAC
Background a mix of public accounting and industry experience
