Senior Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Entity Accounting Lead to oversee general ledger integrity, statutory compliance, and financial reporting across international entities. In this position, you will serve as the primary finance partner for entity-level operations, ensuring seamless month-end closes, audit readiness, and alignment between US GAAP and local accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end General Ledger operations, entity-level month-end closes, and balance sheet reviews.
• Manage third-party statutory and tax compliance vendors to guarantee accurate local books, tax filings, and regulatory alignment.
• Prepare, review, and finalize annual local Financial Statements (IFRS / local GAAP) and manage US-to-local GAAP reconciliations.
• Act as the lead focal point for internal and external audits, driving issue resolution and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with process leads (Opex, Payroll, Intercompany, Fixed Assets) and business unit stakeholders to ensure data accuracy.
• Support corporate tax teams with annual tax execution packages and segmented financial reporting.

Candidate Profile

• Level of Experience: 8+ years in accounting operations, with 3+ years in an international setting).
• General Ledger Expertise: Deep, practical knowledge of GL accounting and operational month-end procedures.
• Audit & Reporting: Proven exposure to preparing financial statements and managing end-to-end audit processes.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Strong ability to partner effectively across global teams, external vendors, and matrixed business units.
• Accounting Standards: Solid knowledge of US GAAP and local/IFRS GAAP conversion principles.
• Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; ACCA, CPA, or equivalent accounting qualification (in progress or completed) is highly desirable.
• Systems Proficiency: Strong MS Excel skills required; experience with enterprise ERPs (e.g., Oracle, Hyperion) is an advantage.
• Languages: C1+ fluent English required (additional languages like German, French, or Spanish are a plus).

Working Model & Logistics

• Location: Kraków, Poland (Hybrid working model)
• Travel: Occasional light regional travel as required for vendor or audit alignment.
