Senior Accountant (Fully Qualified)

A leading US-based real estate firm is looking for a fully qualified Senior Accountant to join its finance team on a fully remote basis from Cape Town.

You'll take ownership of the full accounting function for a fast-paced property portfolio, working US business hours and partnering directly with the US leadership team. This is a great fit for a driven, detail-oriented accountant who enjoys autonomy, thrives in a remote environment, and wants exposure to US GAAP and the US real estate market.

. What you'll do:

• Own the full accounting cycle - month-end close, journals, reconciliations and general ledger integrity.

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements and reporting packs for US stakeholders.

• Manage accounts payable/receivable, cash flow and property-level financials across the portfolio. • Handle budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to support investment and operating decisions.

• Support year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.

• Drive process improvements and strengthen financial controls as the business scales.

What we're looking for:

• Fully qualified accountant - CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.

• 5+ years' post-qualification experience, ideally including real estate, property or a US-facing role. • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP (or a demonstrated ability to get up to speed quickly).

• Advanced Excel skills and confidence with cloud accounting systems (e.g. QuickBooks, Yardi, NetSuite or similar).

• Excellent communication skills and the discipline to work independently in a remote, cross-border team.

• Willingness to align with US business hours.
