Senior Accountant – General Accounting, US GAAP

🚨 We're Hiring | Senior Accountant – General Accounting, US GAAP & Financial Reporting | Poland

Location: 100% remote but seeking candidates local to Poland

Duration: Contract Assignment – 12 Months

• Must be located in Poland or authorized to work in Poland.

• Must be fluent in English with the ability to read, write, and communicate professionally in a business environment.

Are you an experienced accounting professional with strong General Accounting, Month-End Close, Balance Sheet Reconciliations and US GAAP experience?

We're looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant / Financial Accounting professional to join a global finance organization supporting UK and EMEA entities.

🔹 What you'll be doing:

• Own/support month-end close and General Ledger activities

• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations

• Perform journal entries, accruals, provisions and account analysis

• Support US GAAP reporting and financial reporting activities

• Work with HFM/Hyperion and BlackLine

• Partner with outsourced/shared-service accounting teams

• Support statutory accounts and external audits

• Support tax accounting and regulatory compliance

• Work closely with Controllers, Corporate Finance, Tax and global stakeholders

• Support UK/EMEA entity accounting and financial reporting

🔹 What we're looking for:

✅ Strong hands-on General Accounting / GL / R2R experience

✅ Strong Month-End Close experience

✅ Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience

✅ Practical US GAAP experience

✅ Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP

✅ Experience with shared services / BPO / outsourced accounting

✅ Multinational / EMEA accounting experience

✅ Strong English communication skills

✅ Located in Poland or authorized to work in Poland

⭐ Nice to have: ACCA / ACA / CIMA / CPA, HFM/Hyperion, BlackLine, UK entity accounting and external audit experience.

Important: This is not a pure statutory reporting role. We're particularly interested in candidates with strong hands-on General Accounting + Month-End Close + Financial Systems + US GAAP experience.
