This is a senior opportunity, with the possibility of being part time (4 days), for someone who brings depth of market experience, strong judgement, and a steady hand across operational, regulatory and strategic domains.
About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in the leadership and resilience of NZFBF. You’ll provide strategic advice, support benchmark governance, and help ensure the organisation can continue to meet licensing and regulatory obligations with confidence.

- Ensuring accurate, timely calculation and publication of NZFBF’s benchmark suite.
- Monitoring performance against KPIs, governance frameworks and regulatory obligations.
- Supporting compliance with the FMA benchmark administrator licensing regime.

- Supporting and, where appropriate, chairing committees and working groups.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders including FMA, RBNZ, NZFMA, contributors, brokers, benchmark users and international administrators.
- Representing NZFBF at meetings, forums and external engagements.
What you’ll bring

Essential experience

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in policy and regulatory material.
- Credibility and confidence engaging with regulators, market participants and industry bodies.
Desirable experience
- Experience within or alongside a benchmark administrator.
- Experience engaging with international market or regulatory bodies.
- Ability to balance operational delivery with strategic leadership.
Personal attributes
- High judgement, professionalism and discretion.
- Collegial, collaborative working style.
- Comfortable being hands-on when needed.
