What you can expect as the Manager, Federal Partnerships and Executive Operations at Fortress...
Fortress Information Security is seeking a mission-driven professional to support the Government and Global Enterprises division as it scales supply chain security and Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management across the federal government. This role combines federal partnership development, executive operations, and legislative tracking in a single individual contributor position reporting to the division president.

The person in this role manages the day-to-day mechanics of federal engagement. That means qualifying and prioritizing partner relationships, driving execution of federal events and industry engagements, determining which legislative and appropriations developments warrant leadership attention, and serving as the operational partner to the division president. Division leadership sets strategy and external negotiating positions. This role determines how the work gets done.

The stakes are real. Fortress protects the supply chains behind the nation's critical infrastructure and defense systems, against nation-state actors targeting them. This seat carries unusual range in that work, with capture strategy, partner coordination, congressional and agency engagement, and program delivery all moving through it. Event execution runs under a written charter from the division president, so the mandate to direct cross-functional contributors is documented rather than assumed.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Identify and qualify partnership opportunities with primes, systems integrators, technology vendors, and federal partners that extend Fortress reach and capability.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with established partners. Track commitments, coordinate touchpoints, and escalate issues to division leadership.
  • Support capture and teaming strategy by mapping partner ecosystems against Fortress capabilities across Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management, software bill of materials, and product security.
  • Prepare and coordinate teaming agreements, memoranda of understanding, and channel arrangements for review, negotiation, and execution by Contracts, Compliance, and Legal.
  • Maintain partner records, pipeline entries, and activity history in the CRM. Produce recurring partnership performance reporting for division leadership.
  • Plan and execute Fortress presence at federal events, industry days, conferences, and hosted engagements. Own the run of show, logistics, staffing plan, materials, and post-event follow-up.
  • Direct cross-functional contributors on event deliverables and deadlines under a written operating charter issued by the division president.
  • Serve as operational partner to the division president. Manage complex calendars, travel, and scheduling across government, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare agendas, materials, and read-aheads. Capture decisions and action items and drive commitments to closure.
  • Draft, edit, and manage correspondence, briefings, and presentations on behalf of the division president.
  • Coordinate execution with program delivery, technical delivery, contracts, and marketing to keep division priorities moving.
  • Monitor legislation, authorizations, and appropriations relevant to supply chain cybersecurity and Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management. Translate developments into clear written implications for the division.
  • Prepare briefings, position papers, talking points, and read-aheads on matters affecting the division’s legislative and funding position, determining what warrants leadership attention and how it is framed.
  • Coordinate meetings with congressional offices, federal departments, agencies, and program offices, including sequencing, participant selection, and preparation of Fortress positions for each engagement.
  • Support Fortress participation in trade associations, coalitions, and government forums, and represent Fortress in those settings.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with sound judgment and absolute discretion.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3 or more years of professional experience across business development, partnerships, program operations, executive support, or a federal policy environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to run complex logistics and multi-stakeholder events end to end, on deadline, without direct authority over contributors.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. national security priorities and the federal policy process, including how appropriations and authorizations move.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, including the ability to produce executive-level materials and briefings.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with CRM tools and disciplined pipeline and activity tracking.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and confidential information with discretion.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Washington, D.C. metro area, with travel as needed.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in a congressional office, federal agency, or federal policy organization.
  • Familiarity with the defense sector and the interplay of government, appropriations, and industry.
  • Prior experience supporting a senior executive or principal in a fast-moving environment.
  • Exposure to teaming agreements, channel arrangements, or federal contract vehicles.
  • Existing relationships across national security, defense, or critical infrastructure stakeholders.
  • Graduate coursework in defense, strategic studies, public policy, or a related discipline.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, political science, national security, public policy, communications, or a related field required.

  • Remote and Hybrid working environment
