Senior AI Engineer/ Agentic SDKs and Workflows

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer specialized in Agentic SDKs and Workflows to join a strategic initiative building an Agentic intelligence platform for data insights and planning decisions related to charging site planning, utilization, and optimization. This role will focus on delivering a Proof of Value for Self-Service Charging Site Utilization Analytics, powered by a semantic ontology layer deployed on existing lakehouse infrastructure, enabling business users to self-serve HPC utilization queries with auditable, explainable results.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop agentic AI solutions that structure multi-step reasoning workflows, tool integration, and autonomous task orchestration within a Chatbot interface
• Deploy and configure the semantic layer on the client's existing lakehouse to support end-to-end self-service analytics for utilization analysis use cases
• Build and maintain the ontology model defining core entities such as Site, Catchment, and RealizedUtilization to serve as a reusable data foundation for future use cases
• Develop governed SQL views that ensure auditable and explainable results, citing source tables and calculation logic for every generated answer
• Create a semantic layer blueprint and evaluation harness to validate query accuracy and support iterative improvement of the platform
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define the answer set for utilization-based business questions and ensure alignment with business outcomes
• Provide architecture recommendations and define the scope for subsequent evolution phases at project close
• Enable business users to independently answer utilization questions without reliance on data and analytics teams, targeting self-service adoption for the majority of weekly queries
• Integrate agentic workflows with existing data platforms to ensure scalability and reusability across additional use cases

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in AI engineering, with a focus on agentic systems, multi-step reasoning workflows, and autonomous task orchestration
• Expertise in Unity Catalog, Databricks Agent Bricks, and Genie
• Proficiency in designing and deploying semantic layers, ontology models, and governed SQL views on lakehouse architectures
• Background in building explainable and auditable AI-driven analytics solutions for enterprise use cases
• Skills in structuring chatbot-based agentic workflows that integrate tools and orchestrate autonomous tasks
• Understanding of data governance principles and their application in self-service analytics environments
• Familiarity with evaluation harness design to assess and improve AI-driven query accuracy
• Competency in translating business requirements into scalable data foundations reusable across multiple use cases
• Proficiency in English at a B2+ level
