Senior AI engineer GCP-Looker

At Oxigent Technologies, we are looking for an AI / GenAI Engineer to join an innovative GenAI project for a major international Consumer-sector group. The project focuses on the development of a “Talk to your Data” solution, enabling business users to interact with and query data using natural language.

📍 Location: France, Spain, Germany or Switzerland – Full remote possible

In this role, you will contribute to the design, development and deployment of a GenAI solution built on Google Cloud, leveraging technologies such as Python, Vertex AI, Gemini / LLMs, BigQuery and Looker. You will be involved throughout the technical lifecycle, from architecture and development to testing, deployment and production, working closely with international GenAI, Data, IT and Business teams.

What will be your main responsibilities?

• Design, develop and deploy a GenAI “Talk to your Data” solution.
• Build AI / LLM-based solutions using Google Cloud and Vertex AI.
• Develop the solution in Python, from architecture through to production.
• Integrate GenAI capabilities with existing Looker / LookML environments.
• Work with BigQuery and other relevant GCP services.
• Contribute to technical architecture, system integration, testing and deployment.
• Ensure the scalability, robustness and maintainability of the solution.
• Contribute to MLOps, CI/CD and cloud-native development activities.

What will you need?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, AI or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional experience for the Senior profile, with strong hands-on Software Engineering and AI / GenAI experience.
• Strong experience with Python.
• Experience with Generative AI / LLMs.
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI.
• Looker / LookML experience required for the Senior profile.
• Experience with Gemini, BigQuery, Cloud Run, MLOps, CI/CD, GitLab, Docker or APIs is a plus.
• Strong analytical, hands-on and problem-solving mindset.
• Fluent English required; French is a plus.
