About the Role In this role, you will: Design and implement advanced AI systems, including multi-component pipelines, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, and custom AI agents Ensure system quality, reliability, and compliance through strong testing frameworks, monitoring solutions, and responsible AI practices Proactively identify risks and performance issues, making data-driven recommendations and implementing corrective actions Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Product, UX, and Data/Science teams to align AI capabilities with business objectives Lead and execute proof-of-concepts (POCs) to evaluate emerging technologies and innovative AI use cases Review existing systems and recommend improvements to scalability, performance, and overall architecture Stay current with evolving AI technologies and promote continuous learning and adoption across the team Required Qualifications 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years focused on AI/ML Strong proficiency in Python, with experience building web applications, distributed systems, and APIs Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow Deep understanding of AI systems, including RAG architectures, AI agents, and agent-based systems Experience integrating AI models into production environments using APIs and data pipelines Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and search-based AI solutions Strong knowledge of machine learning fundamentals, model evaluation, system design, and end-to-end MLOps A passion for learning new technologies and advancing modern engineering practices Preferred Qualifications 2–3 years of experience designing, deploying, and operating scalable cloud services using AWS (e.g., Lambda, S3, EC2) What’s in It for You Hybrid Work Model: Flexible schedule with a combination of in-office and remote work Work-Life Balance: Supportive flexibility programs, including work-from-anywhere options for part of the year Career Growth: Strong focus on continuous learning, skill development, and advancement in an AI-driven environment Competitive Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including flexible vacation, mental health resources, retirement savings, tuition reimbursement, and incentive programs Inclusive Culture: A collaborative, values-driven workplace committed to inclusion and belonging Social Impact: Paid volunteer time and opportunities to contribute to community and ESG initiatives Compensation (Ontario, Canada) Base Salary Range: $100,000 – $145,000 CAD Compensation is determined by experience, skills, and internal equity, and is part of a comprehensive total rewards package that may include an annual performance-based bonus.
