As part of its healthcare AI initiatives, the company is engaging experienced medical professionals to contribute clinical expertise to the development and evaluation of advanced AI systems. ROLE OVERVIEW We are seeking experienced Physicians and Surgeons to support an advanced AI training and evaluation project. The role involves applying specialist medical expertise to develop, review, and evaluate complex clinical scenarios and AI-generated outputs. The successful candidates will contribute expertise in diagnostic reasoning, differential diagnosis, treatment planning, medical guidelines, clinical risk management, and patient safety, ensuring that outputs meet high standards of medical accuracy and practical relevance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Clinical Scenario Development Develop complex, realistic medical and surgical scenarios for AI training and evaluation. Create cases involving challenging patient presentations, diagnostic findings, and treatment decisions. Develop expert-level reference answers and evaluation criteria. Ensure scenarios reflect current clinical practice and realistic healthcare settings. Diagnostic Reasoning & Clinical Assessment Develop and evaluate scenarios involving complex diagnostic reasoning. Assess differential diagnoses based on patient history, symptoms, laboratory findings, and imaging. Evaluate competing diagnostic and treatment pathways. Identify gaps or errors in clinical reasoning and decision-making. Treatment & Clinical Management Develop and assess evidence-based treatment and management plans. Evaluate multidisciplinary and multi-system clinical scenarios. Review medication, procedural, surgical, and non-surgical management decisions where applicable. Assess clinical risks, patient safety considerations, and expected outcomes. Medical Guidelines & Quality Assurance Review AI-generated and expert-produced medical outputs for clinical accuracy. Apply current medical guidelines and accepted standards of care when evaluating responses. Identify inaccurate, unsafe, incomplete, or clinically unrealistic recommendations. Verify the accuracy of patient data, diagnostic information, treatment options, and clinical conclusions. AI Evaluation & Calibration Apply established grading frameworks and evaluation rubrics. Review and calibrate the work of other subject-matter experts. Provide clear feedback to improve clinical accuracy and reasoning quality. Participate in revision and calibration cycles to maintain consistent standards. Clinical Risk & Escalation Identify high-risk clinical scenarios, ambiguous cases, and complex medical edge cases. Assess patient safety implications within assigned tasks. Escalate significant clinical or rubric-related issues to the Functional SME Lead. Ensure deliverables meet project guidelines, quality standards, and deadlines. REQUIREMENTS 8–15 years of post-residency clinical experience in inpatient, outpatient, surgical, or related medical settings. Must have actively practiced within the last 3 years. MD, DO, or equivalent recognised medical qualification. Active or recent specialty board certification or equivalent professional credential. Strong expertise in: Complex diagnostic reasoning Differential diagnosis Evidence-based treatment planning Medical guideline interpretation Clinical risk management Patient safety Experience producing advanced clinical deliverables such as clinical management plans, diagnostic workups, surgical consultation notes, treatment protocols, or clinical case studies. Strong analytical reasoning and ability to synthesise complex clinical information. Excellent written communication and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines. Must be located in an eligible country or U.S. state. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or clinical content development. Experience creating medical assessments, clinical cases, training materials, or evaluation frameworks. Experience reviewing complex medical or AI-generated content.
