Senior AI/ML Engineer – Applied AI Lead
Overview
A fast-growing global online-trading group is hiring a Senior AI/ML Engineer to lead applied AI – taking models from development into production, building robust MLOps and delivering use cases such as client lifetime value, churn prediction and fraud/abuse detection.
Responsibilities
• Design, build and productionise ML models across training, validation, deployment, monitoring and retraining
• Lead use cases including CLV, churn prediction and fraud/abuse detection
• Build MLOps: deployment pipelines, CI/CD, environment promotion and lifecycle management
• Monitor performance, drift, data quality and business impact; define retraining strategies
• Implement explainability (SHAP, feature attribution) and model governance
• Partner with Data Engineering on pipelines and features, and with Product, Risk and Commercial on business problems
• Mentor the team on production AI best practice
Requirements
• 5–8+ years building and deploying ML models in production
• Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals
• Strong ML, evaluation and feature engineering knowledge; understanding of leakage, drift, stability
• Hands-on Spark/PySpark and large-scale data
• MLflow or similar; CI/CD (ideally GitHub Actions)
• Strong SQL
• Track record of measurable business impact and clear stakeholder communication
