Senior AI/ML Engineer
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Senior AI/ML Engineer to support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives across national security programs.
- The ideal candidate will have experience developing production-grade machine learning systems, distributed data pipelines, and explainable AI solutions for secure mission environments.
- This opportunity is REMOTE.
Job Description:
- Develop and deploy AI/ML models supporting classification, prediction, anomaly detection, and other mission-focused applications.
- Design, build, and maintain distributed data and machine learning pipelines.
- Develop high-performance computing workflows to process and analyze large-scale datasets.
- Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into secure and governed workflows, including deterministic parsing and schema-driven data extraction.
- Perform geospatial modeling, spatial feature engineering, and geospatial analytics.
- Develop explainable and auditable AI/ML solutions suitable for mission and national security environments.
- Create interactive dashboards, data visualizations, and analytical tools for mission stakeholders.
- Support natural language processing (NLP), translation quality improvement, and workflow automation.
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and mission teams to develop and integrate AI/ML capabilities.
- Ensure AI/ML solutions comply with applicable security, governance, accreditation, and customer requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a Master’s degree in Data Analytics or a related technical field and at least 5 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, data science, or a related technical field.
- Must have strong proficiency with Python, PySpark, TensorFlow, SQL, R, and Java.
- Must have experience developing distributed machine learning pipelines and high-performance computing workflows.
- Must have hands-on experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), including deterministic parsing and schema-driven extraction.
- Must have experience with geospatial analytics and spatial data.
- Must have experience developing explainable and auditable AI systems for mission environments.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Streamlit, GitLab/GitHub, Jupyter, Tableau, Folium, and Plotly, preferred.
- CompTIA Security+ certification, preferred.
Security Requirement:
- Must have an Active TS//SCI security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph and the ability to maintain it.
Travel Requirements:
- Travel-50%
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
- Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment. Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
