Senior Amazon Marketplace Manager
CanopySenior Amazon Marketplace & Brand Operations Manager
Remote | International Applicants Welcome
Canopy is a growing U.S. consumer products company building and operating brands primarily through Amazon and other e-commerce channels.
This brand is still a relatively small company, which means this role has considerably more ownership and visibility than a typical marketplace position at a large organization.
The person who joins us will have the opportunity to help shape how the company operates as we enter our next stage of growth.
We are looking for a Senior Amazon Marketplace & Brand Operations Manager who deeply understands Amazon and can take meaningful ownership of the day-to-day marketplace business.
This is not a narrowly defined task-management role.
It is a broad operating position for someone who understands how the different pieces of an Amazon business fit together and enjoys making sure those pieces actually work.
The opportunity
Canopy is at a stage where many of the foundational pieces are already in place, but there is still a tremendous amount left to build.
We are expanding our product portfolio, improving our operating systems, investing in growth, and building a team that can support a substantially larger business.
That creates an unusual opportunity for the right person.
You will not be joining a large organization where your responsibility is one small piece of a mature system.
You will have exposure to nearly every part of an Amazon-native consumer business and the ability to make a visible impact on how it grows.
As the company grows, we expect this position to grow with it.
What you'll work on
The role spans much of the operating side of Amazon, including:
• Seller Central operations
• Catalog and listing management
• Brand Registry
• Account Health
• Amazon cases and escalations
• FBA inventory and shipments
• Inventory forecasting and reorder planning
• Product launches
• Promotions, coupons, deals, Vine and A+ Content
• Search Query Performance and Brand Analytics
• Keyword and organic ranking monitoring
• Competitive intelligence
• Amazon compliance issues
• Customer and returns analysis
• Business performance reporting
• Coordination with advertising, creative, manufacturing and other specialized partners
You will not be expected to personally be the best specialist in every one of these areas.
We believe in using excellent specialists where specialization matters.
What matters in this role is understanding the business well enough to recognize what needs attention, investigate problems, coordinate the right resources, keep projects moving, and take ownership of outcomes.
What the job actually feels like
One day you may be diagnosing why conversion changed.
Another day you may be working through a catalog issue, reviewing inventory requirements, coordinating a new product launch, investigating a competitor change, or making sure an outside specialist is addressing the right problem.
There will be recurring systems and responsibilities, but this is not a role built around repeating the same checklist every day.
The business changes quickly.
Priorities change.
Amazon changes.
Competitors change.
New opportunities appear.
We are looking for someone who enjoys that environment.
Who tends to do well in a role like this
You probably have several years of meaningful Amazon experience and have been responsible for more than simply completing assigned tasks.
You understand how an Amazon business works commercially and operationally.
You are comfortable investigating something you have not seen before.
You are organized enough to keep many moving pieces under control.
You use data when it helps, but you do not need perfect information before taking action.
You communicate clearly.
You follow through.
You are comfortable working independently.
And when something goes wrong, your instinct is to understand the problem and move it toward a solution.
Experience with complex, competitive, or compliance-sensitive consumer categories is valuable, but we are interested in strong Amazon operators from a range of backgrounds.
Experience that will be useful
Familiarity with areas such as:
• Amazon Seller Central
• FBA
• Catalog management
• Brand Registry
• Account Health
• Amazon cases and escalations
• Inventory planning
• Product launches
• Amazon advertising fundamentals
• Search Query Performance
• Brand Analytics
• Keyword research
• Competitive analysis
• Keepa
• Helium 10
• AI and modern productivity tools
We care substantially more about what you have personally owned and accomplished than about degrees, certifications, or impressive job titles.
Why Canopy
High ownership
The work you do will have a direct effect on the business. There are very few layers between identifying something that should change and actually changing it.
Room to grow
We are building for a much larger company than we are today. Someone exceptional in this role can grow substantially in scope and responsibility with the business.
Exposure to the whole business
You will see much more than one isolated Amazon function. You will develop a deep understanding of how marketplace operations, inventory, product development, advertising, creative, competition, and profitability interact.
Modern operating environment
We actively use technology, automation, AI, data, and outside specialists to make a small team capable of doing significantly more than a traditional organization of the same size.
Direct impact
This is not a position where great work disappears inside a large organization. Improvements are visible and measurable.
Long-term orientation
We are not looking for temporary task coverage. We want to build a small team of excellent people who can take increasingly meaningful ownership as the company grows.
