Job Description – Senior AML Compliance Officer (MLRO Appointments – AVP/VP Level)

We are seeking an experienced Senior AML Compliance Officer to support our MLRO/AML Officer Service Offering in Ireland and Cayman. The successful candidate will have gained significant experience in regulatory and compliance frameworks, and can demonstrate the skill, energy, and passion required to lead and enhance our AML Officer/MLRO services and processes. The candidate should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

AML Officer/MLRO Appointments

• To serve as a suitably qualified MLRO/AML Officer to multiple traditional and digital asset funds, Securities Investment Business Act - Registered Persons (SIBA-RPs), and Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs), across Ireland, Cayman,
• Act as AML subject matter expert for clients and junior team members.
• Accountable for and actively participating in enhancement of the AML Officer workflows, control framework and all internal and client facing
• Conduct the requisite assessments – draft AML Business Risk assessments, reports and present at Board meetings.
• Conduct an annual review of the (design and effectiveness) of clients’ AML policy/procedures and supporting controls to ensure compliance with current regulations.
• Conduct annual testing of clients outsourced counterparties, such as Fund
• Scan and advise on regulatory developments, advise clients and the Boards of the respective
• Act as the point of contact with local authorities and regulators if required.

• Providing ongoing training and support to junior team members and peers.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience within Financial Services, of which well seen at least 3 years' experience in a compliance or AML Officer/MLRO role, within the investment funds industry.
• Experience acting as MLRO/AMLCO for funds and investment firms.
• An ACAMS or ICA professional compliance qualification would be advantageous.
• Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks in either Ireland or Cayman Islands. Knowledge of both is a big plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
• Proven project management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Confident in working independently and remotely.
• Nice to have, but not necessary:
  • Business development experience (events, marketing etc.)
  • LLM/AI fluency
  • Digital Asset experience or interest.
  • United States or UAE experience
