Senior Analyst, Accounting & Reporting
Job Location- Gurgaon
Type of employement- Temporary
Contract duration- 6 Months
On the Payroll- Role is on Colt Payroll itself

Why we need this role
To support General Ledger accounting activities, statutory audits, and finance transformation initiatives, including the DCS transition. The role will help ensure accurate financial reporting, timely month-end close activities, strong balance sheet governance, and business continuity during periods of increased workload, particularly around year-end and audit cycles
What you will do
Key Responsibilities
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding reconciling items.
- Support statutory audits by preparing schedules, responding to auditor queries, and providing supporting documentation.
- Assist with DCS transition activities and ensure smooth migration of accounting processes and balances.
- Support intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and netting activities.
- Work closely with AP, AR, FP&A, and business teams to resolve accounting issues and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
- Prepare financial analysis, reports, and management information as required.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contributoe to team-led initiatives to enhance efficiency and strengthen controls.
- Document accounting processes and support knowledge transfer activities where required.
What we're looking for
Skills & Experience we are looking for
- 5-8 years of experience in General Ledger, Record-to-Report (R2R), or Finance Operations.
- MBA Finance, CA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Strong experience in month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience supporting statutory audits and working with external auditors.
- Good understanding of accounting standards, controls, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in transition, migration, or shared services environments is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Ability to work across multiple finance disciplines, including GL, AP, and AR, when required.
