Senior Analyst, FP&A
Beauty, Fashion & Wellness · California
THE COMPANY
The company is a California-based beauty, fashion, and wellness lifestyle platform, built on a foundation of carefully curated content and products. Results are the common language here: clear goals, clear numbers, a visible line from contribution to outcome. AI is native to the way the team works, in every function, which raises the bar on what a small group can accomplish. Authority sits with the work: your scope is defined, and inside it you have real decision rights that we expect you to use. Founder mode is not a phase we are in; it is how the company is built.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
This role reports to the Associate Director, FP&A and is a senior individual contributor on the broader Finance Team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Analyst, FP&A to take on a central role in our financial planning and analysis function. This person owns key pieces of the budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting process end-to-end, and is trusted to operate with a high degree of independence, translating complex financial data into clear, decision-ready insights for finance leadership and cross-functional partners.
The ideal candidate is analytically rigorous, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning ambiguous problems from data through to executive-ready output. This person is a strong builder of models and processes.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Own key workstreams within the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with company strategy.
• Prepare and continuously improve management reporting, delivering actionable financial insights to the Associate Director, FP&A, the VP, Finance, and senior leadership.
• Analyze historical and current financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities across the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Serve as a day-to-day finance partner to cross-functional teams, providing analysis and decision support for key business initiatives.
• Build, maintain, and enhance financial models to support scenario planning, investment analysis, and operational decision-making.
• Support cash flow forecasting and analysis, identifying opportunities for more efficient capital utilization.
• Partner with the Accounting team on the monthly and quarterly financial close, including P&L review, accruals, and flux analysis.
• Contribute to the development and standardization of best-practice reporting frameworks, tools, and processes across the Finance team.
• Develop and maintain databases, tables, and processes to automate recurring reports and analyses, pulling data from multiple internal systems.
• Apply AI tools and agents to automate recurring analysis, reporting, and data preparation, reducing manual cycle time, improving accuracy, and freeing capacity for higher-value analysis.
• Identify where AI-driven automation can replace manual finance workflows, pilot new approaches, and roll out what works across the team.
• Support the build-out and administration of web-based planning and analysis systems for FP&A, including tool evaluation.
• Develop and maintain KPI dashboards to track performance by brand, channel, and customer.
• Prepare materials for board decks, leadership reviews, and ad hoc executive analysis.
• Support financial analysis for new product launches.
WHAT YOU BRING
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, investment banking, or a related field; consumer or e-commerce industry experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience owning components of budgeting, forecasting, and multi-scenario modeling processes.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling expertise; experience with FP&A platforms strongly preferred.
• Fluency with AI-enabled tools and workflows, with hands-on experience applying them to automate financial reporting, analysis, and data preparation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial statement analysis across the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
• Proven ability to work with large datasets and translate complex information into clear, actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong organizational and strategic thinking abilities.
