Capital Times is one of Ukraine's leading investment banking firms and a member of Globalscope, a global network of M&A advisors. We are looking for a Senior Analyst / Investment Associate to join our M&A team.
We advise corporate clients and investors on sell-side and buy-side M&A, fundraising and debt transactions. We are growing the team to keep up with our deal flow.
Main responsibilities:
· Running day-to-day execution of M&A and fundraising mandates, from preparation to closing
· Building and reviewing financial models (three-statement, DCF, LBO) and valuations (trading and transaction multiples)
· Preparing and owning key deal materials: teasers, information memoranda, management presentations, pitch books
· Building buyer and investor longlists, supporting outreach and managing communication with counterparties
· Coordinating due diligence: data rooms, Q&A processes, and interaction with lawyers, auditors and other advisors
· Supporting partners in negotiations and in structuring transaction terms
· Reviewing work of analysts, mentoring them and setting quality standards
· Taking part in business development: industry research, pitch preparation, client meetings
Requirements:
· Degree in finance, economics, mathematics or a related field
· 3–5+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, M&A/Transaction Services at Big-4, PE/VC or financial analysis
· Strong command of valuation and financial modelling; ability to build a model from scratch and defend its assumptions
· Understanding of IFRS and Ukrainian GAAP, and the ability to read and normalise financial statements
· Advanced Excel and PowerPoint;
· Fluent Ukrainian and English, written and spoken, including client-facing communication
· CFA / ACCA (completed or in progress) is an advantage
· Ability to manage several workstreams at once, take ownership and deliver to deadlines with high attention to detail
